Together as a class look at the Definition of terms at InfoNation and discuss life expectancy, infant mortality, and adult illiteracy rates.

Directions: Use the chart below to record your findings.

1. Visit InfoNation to gather data about these 5 Central American countries.

2. When you have the InfoNation web page on your screen, click North America. Click on the countries you are gathering data for (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama). A check mark should appear in front of each country.

3. Scroll down and click the button that says, "Data Menu".

4. At the next screen, you will see a screen where you have more choices to make. Under the Population heading, choose Infant Mortality. Under the Social Indicators heading, choose Life Expectancy (Math/Female) and Adult Illiteracy (Total).

5. Click the button at the bottom of the page that says "View Info"

6. Now fill in your chart using the information that InfoNation gives you.
