What’s Happening in Leadership?

This year in Leadership Club the groups are planning some exciting things, including a Thanksgiving Food Drive. We will also try to have a fund raiser for sick and unfortunate children, and maybe a coat drive. The name of the group we're collecting food for is the Community Action Council. The name of the group we're raising money for is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This year in Leadership things have changed. Now we have leadership after school because of the earlier start in the school day. The new meeting time is 3:00-4:15. Also, now there are two groups, A & B, since there are too many children to fit in one classroom. Each group comes every other week because there are about fifty children in all. Leadership will try and help out with playground and cafetorium issues, and Leadership will try and help with other issues, too.

The Leadership teachers are Ms. Minsky and Mrs. Betsch, in place of Mrs. Sutarno. Two people from every class come to leadership, starting at first grade and going up to fifth grade.

Leadership is interesting and is a very good experience. This reporter is in Leadership so she can witness it first hand.

What do the people say about Leadership? "Leadership is great, the kids are enthusiastic, and I am really excited about making a difference in the school and in our community with Mrs. Betsch and the children in Leadership,” said Ms. Minsky. “ Leadership is really fun.” said Alex Lee.
