Want to learn about New York? The fourth grade did. So, they decided to go on a trip. They took a bus to Manhattan and got on a Circle Line Boat at Pier 83. Miss Sellers said, “We are lucky the rain cleared up or we wouldn’t have been on time.” They sailed down the Hudson River, around the tip of Manhattan, up the East River, and back. And this reporter thought school was long! The kids saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Twin Towers, and other places in New York City. The trip took about two hours. “It was really exciting. I had a great time!” quoted Peter R. Other kids said they loved it and had a great time, too. Amanda said, “I loved the trip, and it was very interesting.” Unfortunately, this fourth grader wouldn’t know from first hand experience. He got sick and couldn’t go!
