What did the third graders do on the 10th of May in the year
1998? They had a concert! The concert had two groups. They were the
third grade strings and the third grade recorders.
There were thirty children in the strings. They played three variations of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. A variation, in this case, means different rhythms of the same song. Mrs. Field magically taught the third graders this song in a short amount of time.
All of the third grade played the recorder. They played four songs on their instruments. The songs they played were: Hot Cross Buns, Hide and Seek, Stop Look and Listen, (a safety song) and Claire de la Lune. The children sang a song from Annie called Youre Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile.
The pre-K, kindergartners, Ist and 2nd graders, and relatives of the third grade musicians came to their concert. These third graders had a great experience performing in front of an audience and everybody loved it.
