Correct Forms and Samples of different items which might appear in a bibliography:

(Note: Whenever your citation goes onto a second line, remember to indent.)

 

BOOKS

FORM: Author's last name, first name. Title (underlined). Place of Publication: Publisher, Copyright.

 

SAMPLE: Rocket, Samuel. Astronomy. New York: Houghton, 1987.

 

ENCYCLOPEDIA ARTICLE

FORM: “Name of Article,” (in quotes) Name of Encyclopedia (underlined) (year in parentheses) Volume, pages.

 

SAMPLE: “Mars,” Space Encyclopedia (1988) ,12, pp.6-14.

 

MAGAZINE ARTICLE

FORM: Author’s last name, first name. “Name of Article” (in quotes)

Name of Magazine ,(underlined) Date of Issue, pages.

 

SAMPLE: Armstrong, Neil. “The Moon and I, “ Odyssey Magazine,

Jan. 25, 1988, pp.30-40.
